Self care tips

Self care tips Self care is extremely important and it is not a cheap endeavour. In my opinion it is the foundation of healthy living. When we feel stressed or anxious about ourselves or others, it is because of the inner beliefs we are carrying around. We are engaging in an unhelpful judgment and causing ourselves and others problems. Self care is not the time to be gluttonous and have some treat yourself day as if you were going out to eat. I will list out a few tips below so that you feel the help and have less problems.

1. Spend time meditating

I am not a meditator, it is something I have been reading about but I feel that it is more of a luxury way to experience inner peace. I read books or articles about meditation and learnt about books and I thought it was fantastic. Reading things about meditation and reading about advice about meditation helped me much more.

2. When you are feeling anxious or stressed

no matter what, try and engage in 5 or 10 minutes of physical activity. I learnt this very quickly. For example in one of my emails I left out some information about what a “calming” yoga class looks like. The course I went to looked like this: A physical class the same day. What can you do to meditate during that 5 or 10 minutes of physical activity?  Simple times of relaxation, meditation, listening to music or just doing nothing for a few minutes. I do these things on a regular basis to calm myself down.

 3. Practice gratitude,

not because you are grateful for everything you have but because you understand that all of the little things we take for granted can really make a big difference in our day to day life.

   4. Eat sensibly.

I do do this very often. I buy organic, quality produce where I can and don’t buy processed foods. A healthy lifestyle is one where I do not waste my money and I do things that help my health. So I avoid all products that are made with harmful chemicals. Most of the ingredients in processed foods are made from animal by-products. I look out for that.

  5. Eat the right thing for you body and mind

Eat food that is high in fibre, protein and fats. If you are hungry, you are actually in a terrible way deprived of the food you need to maintain a healthy weight. Research indicates that plants are good for our bodies and metabolism.

  6. Exercise at least five days a week

Exercise is very important for health and happiness. I recommend walking, jogging, swimming, dancing or cycling.

  7. Avoid touching your phone, tv

 computer, computer games.

 8. Handpick something and pick something else.

Now is the time to do something active and something you like. If you like something that you touch, then you don’t need to touch it. Watch something that is entertaining.

 9. Eye contact with other people.

If you are having problems in school, work or social interactions, being there can also be an issue. Look at people when you make a positive intention. Do something yourself and show a smile. If you are actively searching for a piece of advice from someone you know, then you must walk away

10 . Listen to music for your mind

Enjoy the tone of music. (I listen to about twelve different types of music.)

 11. The more information we get,

the more we understand. Reading anything online, reading online journal, websites, journals, magazines, books and other online sources, show our appreciation for the little things we have always known. 17. There are many people that have suffered many things in their lives but those who have more success are where we are as people. If all of these strategies worked for me then I hope you will try one of these and you will feel much better.
